Questions families ask most.
Plain answers about timing, proofs, revisions, printing and shipping. If you don't see your question, call or write — we're glad to help.
When should I reach out?
As soon as you know the service date — even if you don't have the obituary or photos yet. We'll respond within one business day to confirm your project, timeline and next steps, and you can send materials as they come together.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your loved one's full name and dates, the service details, the obituary or life story (a draft is fine), the order of service, and the photos that matter most. Your recommended photo count will depend on program length and layout. Our intake form walks you through each piece and accepts photos, PDF and Word files.
How quickly will I see a proof?
Your proof timeline will be confirmed when your project begins; most first proofs are delivered within 2–3 business days. Rush timelines may be available.
How many revisions are included?
Includes up to 3 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions or major content changes may incur an additional design fee, which we'll confirm with you first. Printing begins only after you approve the final proof in writing.
How much does a custom program cost?
Pricing varies by project. Every custom design is quoted individually after your free consultation, based on page count, quantity, paper and turnaround — so your written quote reflects your actual order.
Can you print the program, or just design it?
Both. Many families choose design plus professional printing so everything arrives finished and ready for the service. If you'd rather print locally, we'll deliver print-ready files sized to your printer's specifications.
My service is this week. Can you still help?
Rush service may be available depending on production capacity and service date. Rush design/production fees may apply. Tell us your service date in the intake form — it's the first thing we look at.
Do you ship outside California?
Yes. Printed pieces are shipped nationwide from California with tracking; shipping method and arrival are confirmed in your quote based on your service date.
What if my photos are old or low quality?
Send them anyway. We work with scanned prints and phone photos every day, and we'll tell you if an image is too small to print cleanly and where it may still work beautifully — as a smaller accent, for example.
Can you help write the obituary or life story?
Yes. Share what you have — notes, a draft, or a few memories — and we'll help shape it into a clear, dignified tribute for the program.
What's the difference between a custom program and an editable template?
An editable template (sold on Etsy) is a finished design you personalize yourself in Canva — a good fit for families on a tight budget or timeline who want to edit text and photos themselves. A custom program is designed by our studio from your photos and story, with professional printing available. The site's Shop covers templates; Custom Programs covers studio work.
Can you match keepsakes to the program?
Yes — memorial handkerchiefs, photo slates, mugs, prayer cards, bookmarks, casket inserts, gravesite stakes and more can be designed to coordinate with your program. Ask about any piece when you start your tribute.
Will you use our program in your portfolio?
Only with your permission. We never feature a family's program without asking first.
